How To Get Rid of Lower Belly Fat

Knowing seems to be a very common problem for those who are overweight. I was 80 lbs overweight and following a weight loss plan I dropped 60 lbs but the last 20 pounds seemed to be all belly fat and was the hardest to get rid of. No matter what I tried to do, the belly fat just didn’t seem to drop off! Eventually I came to the conclusion that there was no secret weight loss plan that would help me get rid of lower belly fat.
The belly fat was one of the hardest areas to get rid of extra weight. I guess it makes sense as it’s the last spot that we drop weight from. Because of this, our body fights to keep what little fat we may have left. Don’t dispair, there are steps you can take to help your body and even speed up the process.
A first step one can take to get rid of belly fat is to cut carbohydrates from your diet, unless you have just finished exercising. Our body will not store carbohydrates you eat after exercising, instead, it replenishes your glycogen levels. Glycogen in short is stored energy in your muscles. Because of this, the carbohydrates you eat after exercise will not be stored as body fat. When you follow this method, you will be maximizing the body’s ability to burn fat, in turn burning some of that hard-to-get-rid-of lower belly fat.
This might sound tough to do but try having drinks with zero calories, it will assist you in getting closer to your ideal weight loss goals. It’s really simple after you get used to it. Give drinking green tea a try, you will thank me for later. Soft drinks, juices etc. are just empty calories that have zero nutritional value. Plus, green tea has been shown to help assist with weight loss.
Once you have modified your diet, then you can try to evaluate your exercise routine. A lot of people think cardio is the best thing to help lose lower belly fat, while its helpful, it’s far from the best. Try interval training to increase your metabolic rate.
Boosting the metabolism is yet another method of burning that extra body fat. It isn’t hard to do interval training. Get on a treadmill or an exercise bike and sprint as fast as you can go for 15 seconds, the next 30 seconds you can ride or jog at normal pace. After 30 seconds has elapsed, sprint or ride as fast as you can for another 15 seconds. You must do it over a 15 minutes period, continually.
The previous exercise will increase your metabolism for about 24 hrs. Get to it NOW and start losing that lower belly fat.
